By a foreign country, claiming some of the Irish players had represented Northern Ireland.... Which is true, but only because they were so poorly paid that a game for north or south would increase your profile and chances of a pay rise. That Irish team were all southern Irish as far as I know and certainly never stood a chance of playing for our neighbours at the time.
