The People's Forum: Unfortunately things rarely work like that even if we fans would like it.

If someone like RM comes calling very, very few players say no. It might be the only opportunity in their career to move to one of the biggest clubs in the world so whether they like it here or not they will probably take the plunge.

Also, every player has a price. No point worrying about it but also being dead against it will probably just lead to another disappointment.

especially after yesterday, but really there's no point worrying about it, all the signs are that he's happy where he is and there will be absolutely no desire from the club to sell. Yeah, if a silly money offer comes in and he says he wants to go then it will be difficult to keep him but that applies to any good player at any club.

He's a key part of this stage of rebuilding.
