So that’s out.
Even though I worked for Disney for over 30 years, I don’t have any great advice for the parks that isn’t already common knowledge.
I live in Sarasota now, and can tell you that the beaches are some of the best in the world. A 1hr drive from Tampa would get you to the Sarasota area, and if you head that way, you have to go to Siesta Key. It is consistently voted best beach in America. The sand is a very fine white quartz, and never gets hot underfoot.
Fort Desoto is another great destination for a beach day. Close by is Madeira beach, where you could get a great lunch at Skulley’s at John’s Pass.
I like St Petersburg pier, another good spot for lunch or dinner at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar.
You can catch a deep sea fishing charter, dolphin spotting cruise or other water craft rentals at any of the above.
I’ll try to think of other stuff.

Booked - cancelled due to covid. Rebooked - cancelled as Liv got ill. Rebooked after treatment- cancelled after 10k insurance cost for Liv. Finally going tomorrow, long time coming.
Anyone got any cool things we should do?
Obviously the parks, but we're only doing that for 3 or 4 days. Beaches? Attractions? Malls? Any suggestions welcome. Was thinking about karting at the Andretti place in Orlando and trying some snorkelling but no idea where. Anyone been to any sports around Orlando or Tampa?
Cheers
