you should consider parking up at one of the multistorey car parks at The Strand (really cheap, I believe) and get the 939 (every 10 minutes and they leave from a bus station which will give you shelter if it's raining). A lot of fans are catching on to it (depending which way you are heading from, obviously).
Forget the horror stories about the Soccerbuses from town. The 939 works really well. Took about 15/20 minutes yesterday (I don't have a car). Down Marsh Lane and left onto Derby Road dual carriageway. Drops you far closer to the ground than the train does, also.
Just a suggestion.

Station and look for a parking space somewhere near, get the train into Sandhills and walk the rest. Not sure if all of that is feasible.

Im taking my daughters and the wife to the Womens game at the new ground on Sunday, and before I choose my usual spots (as Im not as bothered about walking) I wondered if there was any real close options I could look at (less than 15 min walk)
Im tempted by Sandhills parking, a few reviews say its unaccesible 2 hours before a game due to road closures, but maybe they wont close the road for a game with a lower attendance ?
Any help would be massively appreciated
