I was there on Monday night and we were poor in the second half, apart from Kegga.
I thought we were slow and disjointed, albeit that Palace are a decent outfit, back three and that Mateta fella.
That said, I have to praise Moyes for making the changes at half time! Not like him but credit were it’s due. The introduction of Alcaraz and Beto, changed the game, and the crowd, hell of a noise when we started to get at them, great end to the game. I also noticed Moyes made a big fuss of Tim, Beto and Garner after the whistle, great man management.
Went with my youngest lad (young 42) don’t see a lot of him, so the shared experience and the win made it a fantastic day for me and him. Just waiting for my missus to tell me “okay gob, you have told me about it a hundred times!, so when are you taking me!”
It’s going to take time but for the first time in a long time things are looking really positive.

First proper "moment" in the new stadium with the late winner. The noise from after the Garner incident was brilliant and hopefully the team can get the crowd riled up earlier in games going forward. It's phenomenal when the noise gets up.
Referee, shite again - the standards in the Premier League are absolutely abysml, the players don't help with all their falling over for no reason and shite but even where the ref hasn't been conned, simple decisions around tackles, technical stuff like dealing with wall distances and clear dissent is just tragic, I thought Hooper was bad, but the ref yesterday was a whole new level of poor. It says something when both sets of fans think the ref is terrible.
Palace were very good first half, well organised, sharp on the break, a bit like the Brighton game if they take their chances, they win comfortably but a mixture of good saves from Pickford and poor finishing from them meant we stayed in the game.
Alcaraz was a breath of fresh air actually driving forward and adding a quickness to our play that's been missing over past few weeks.
It was also good to see Grealish start to run at and past some players, Munoz is a decent player (albeit his strength is going forward) but he couldn't handle Jack. Jack also had a couple of shots yesterday, they were tame in the end but at least he's thinking about having a pop, where he has looked reluctant to in other games.
On balance we probably didnt deserve the win, but we also should have beaten both Villa and West Ham so we'll take it.
Another word for Michael Keane as well, very good again up to having to go off, the international break may have come at a good time for us, hopefully its nothing serious as he's been our best defender. The extra weeks will also hopefully get Grealish fully fit, allow Ndiaye to shake off whatever niggle he is carrying and bring Branthwaite closer to being back.
Throw back in the missing KDH yesterday (our best player so far this season) and its positivity all round from my end.
Stadium was bouncing at the end, and the train back to London a pleasure amongst the gutted Palace fans.
