I've always said this is why Hodgson never fit in there. He's too honest and self-critical and I just can't see him ever having bought into that cult mentality. Hence he had to go.

the excuses, the delusions, the siege mentality, the blaming of others. Shiny bonce has fallen into the pit after realising a league title, any number of league titles and cups will never be enough - every stumble has to be someone else's fault if you want to remain cult leader.
