Sadly the team needs more work.

I’ve noticed in recent games we have become way too predictable. Jack hugs the touch line, shows wonderful technique and vision but doesn’t seem to believe he has the pace to genuinely run at defenders. Ok, fair enough if he doesn’t have that pace but can we see him central more often? I want to see him, Ili and KDH start mixing it up and swapping around. We looked best when one of them would pop up centrally.

Against Palace it’s probably Alcaraz in for KDH but I can see an argument for Dibling and moving either Ili or Jack to 10.

In terms of strikers I’d play Thierno for solid run of games. He showed he can do it in Spain and links play infinitely better than Beto who needs to play in a system that plays to his strength - running onto the ball behind the defence.

All in all a new but also familiar experience. Can’t say it didn’t feel like home already with that kind of underwhelming performance!
