He knows his squad is light, but he has to at least pretend publicly that they all SHOULD be ready for prime time. It's not like he sent out the youth team, they were all supposed to be first team squad players.
(And I'm far from a Moyes fan boy. I still bear a grudge over him resting players for an Anfield derby days before a home cup tie with Sunderland)

probably getting worse as he gets older. I can imagine he's heartily sick of being asked about Tuesday. He fucked up, basically, thought we would have enough with the fringe players but they were shite on the night. Still, to publicly slag them is not a good look at all. Not very professional, he could have just shut down any more questions in a Walter Smith style, just give them some bland platitudes about how we were disappointed but fully focused on the next game.
It will probably all be forgotten if we win tomorrow. For now. I'd imagine what happens is we do OK rest of the season but he gets more and more peed off by criticism. I don't think see him staying much beyond that, sense the friction with both the owners and the playing staff is building already.

Moyes was bit annoyed at being asked about Tuesday night. He pinned it all on the players and said it had been forgotten and he has moved on. He was quite sarcastic at a couple of questions and appeared edgy as he knew what he was going to be asked about. Disappointing reaction overall!
