I never trusted the left on covid. The intentions may have been truer than the Tories but that's not enough. Too much idealism, not enough science. I get its hard when things are going to shit.
The centre-left govt in Sweden let the experts dictate policy and despite early wobbles were proved comprehensively right by the data over time. It speaks volumes that when Sweden had a 2022 election the pandemic was never a factor.
I get that UK aren't Sweden, and the UK govt backed itself into a corner early on, but you don't have to be a facsimile in terms of details to follow a more rounded and science based strategy. Marathon not a sprint. Hope lessons are learned.
