I've always been a fan of the ertswhile carrot top, but the last 2 games have pulled me up short. There is always lots of chat about if a manager "gets" a club and I've always thought Moyes did. But does he?

Does he understand that given we're unlikely ever to win the league again, our best chance of silverware is a cup and specifically the League Cup? The joy of a derby win needs no explanation. He has failed us in the last 2 games. I thought, perhaps naively, we would see a turbo charged Moyes 2 who would move heaven and earth to realise these ambitions.

Is it down to money? I mean Moyes' contract? Does he get a bigger bonus for finishing a few places up the league than winning a cup? I'd put a huge bonus into our next manager's contract for a cup win and for each derby win (call me small time, I don't care). Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather win the League Cup and finish just above the relegation zone than get into Europe via league position.

Made up with the new stadium (long standing season ticket holder) but I can't see myself still going in a few years unless there is a change of mindset regards these issues
