But Moyes MK2 isn't far removed from Moyes MK1.
Pre-derby, lots of talk from him about the Liverpool spend, fuck them. Go play your team. They stepped over the line and seemed unsure they had a right to be there. It took 40 mins to realise that the opposition aren't that amazing.
Last night was pathetic. Playing. Team with ZERO confidence who themselves made 9 or 10 changes, virtually surrendering the tie. What does Moyes do? 7 changes. Plays players who've hardly had a look in, the team looked like strangers.
Start your strongest team, sub off once the game is won and give fringe players a chance to shine with less pressure.
I don't think the board/owners would have any input on selection last night. If they attempted it I'm not sure Moyes would have entertained it anyway knowing how stubborn he can be.
I'm not Moyes out by any stretch, but you'd hope that the list of potential replacements is already starting to take shape.
Glasner is out of contract next summer. I'd pay Moyes off for him tbh.

The one who gets us, the one who is as rigerous as Moyes in transfers but quicker and more dynamic, the one who has the pragmatism to not be too gung ho like Martinez, but always goes in for the kill in big games, the guy who always gets the tine just right in press conferences and alaways spots his errors quickly and makes subs accordingly.
That guy doesnt exist, they all have flaws.
As for the flaw of not prioritising the cup, probably his decission alone, but maybe not, the owners and CEO may input input into that decission.
