the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel by the types who scream blue murder if a right-wing speaker is deplatformed - which isn't revenge
How is this not revenge?
- is based on the same principle as wiping out Hiroshama - which wasn't strictly revenge?
Nope. Would you fancy fighting your way a nation of 150 million fanatical supremacists armed with a rifle when you can just flatten them with a bomb? Yet you are I presume happy to insist others do.
Of course the MAGAs will say it is just giving the left a taste of its own medicine but that's a pathetic justification, it's naked hypocrisy. Grab for whatever semi-coherent argument is within reach to cover for your complete lack of principles and desire to dominate others. Like I said, "free speech as long as I agree with it".
This literally consists exclusively of an insistence that your opponents are exactly what you say they are. This is a very easy way to argue - it is a also a very easy evidence-free way to simply dehumanise them. There's a lot of it about. Again.
But you do you, carry on justifying the words and actions of Trump, his unhinged supporters and his increasingly authoritarian regime with your usual pseudo-intellectual babble.
For a while he appeared to stand against that (at least in its hegemonic form)- then (having been wiped out by the courts) he made friends with Silicon Valley.
"Tard" though. Bit below your usual level of eloquence.
My "usual level of eloquence" appear to be the terrain those who disagree have chosen to disagree on.
Don't take this the wrong way - but you remind me of Winston Smith's next-door neighbour.
The most delicious of moral treats.
