Sid the Sexist
Noticed something on Saturday sat in my seat in the Upper East Stand looking up at the very back of the roof. There seems to be what look like to me as plates welded to the massive tubular beams. These plates have holes in them through which you could thread huge bolts. If I recall correctly the steelwork was bespoke, so that being the case I can't see what job these plates do. They serve no purpose.
I might be getting ahead of myself here, but could it be that the roof is future proofed for expansion sometime in the future? Anyone notice if there is anything similar in the other three stands?
