…we travelled over to London from Ireland for it. Herself is a big Abba fan.
I’ve probably seen 500+ concerts and it just blew me away. I was also mildly surprised that I knew virtually ( no pun intended) every song such is ABBA’s ubiquity, I would never call myself a fan but they were hard to ignore in the 70’/80’s.
I bought best seat tickets based on reviews and they didn’t disappoint. Just a huge wow. a technical wonder.
The thing that struck me on the walk back to the hotel was how brilliant it would be to have a Bowie show with different era sections, Ziggy, TWDuke, etc etc the various potential mutations across several shows would be class. Previous Message
Not that Ive seen it, but it feels like cheating to me.....however.....I think that a reboot of that Pulse tour with updated lighting and using holograms might be really good. If any bands style and history is suited to the sort of gig, Id say its Floyd. Previous Message
I can't comment on the other two, but I've been to literally hundreds (and possibly more than 1000?) gigs - mostly metal/rock and lots of Divine Comedy! - but Pink Floyd's Pulse/Division Bell tour was the best by a mile. I was fortunate to be at all 14/15 of the UK gigs at Earl's Court in 1994 and every night was pretty much perfection. Utterly sublime Previous Message

I liked PF,Yes and not so much Genesis but Genesis were miles the best of the three in the concerts I saw.
I think they're now called 'gigs'. Previous Message
Surely Pink Floyd are far more popular than both of these? Probably even combined?
I can't stand Genesis (mainly due to Collins being involved) and haven't really listened to Yes, but I absolutely love Floyd so I'm surprised to see them not mentioned at all is this thread from what I can see? Am I missing something? Previous Message
Of all the big prog bands out there, of which Genesis and yes are by far the most popular,
