It is so weird to me that when I lived in Liverpool over 40 years ago, Purple Aki felt my “muscles” in Bootle / Kirkdale (not far from Goodison) where my Uncle had a car garage (Brewster St Motors).
I had heard of him but had no idea that he became the bogey man that everyone from the Liverpool area knew about and scared their kids with.
