The options given this incarnation of Labour are indeed piss poor. Starmer has exceeded my worst expectations of just how bad he was going to be as PM - and I was expecting him to be shit. He's an unprincipled lying fraud whose horrible control freak coterie have driven away loyal members and activists, ruined the party's reputation and thrown the door wide open to the far right. As I feared, their priority is overwhelmingly to suck corporate dick with nothing of substance to offer people whose living standards have nosedived.
It's little wonder that low information voters are turning right. But I do despair at how easily they can be manipulated by grifters like Farage and "Tommy Robinson". Their brains seemed to be addled from a social-media-driven diet of misinformation and chest-thumping nationalism.

When you look at the Runcorn by election you'd have to conclude that a big chunk of the Reform vote had voted Labour last year
There's a difference between voters and activists. (On all sides)

far-right agitators are finding an increasingly receptive audience for their hatemongering. Asylum hotel protests all over the country, many turning violent. The Tory woman who was jailed for inciting racial hatred is being treated like Joan of Arc by the usual suspects in the media. Starmer's government desperately trying to ape the tough talk on immigration, oblivious to the fact that their target audience despises them and will never vote Labour.
Country's entering a very dark phase. Previous Message
…so they’re inviting councils to remove them, at which point they can say “aha, see you want to repress us true patriots!”.
Similarly, people who object to their street being badly decorated on this manner (flags upside down, badly spray painted roundabouts etc) can be categorised as unpatriotic.
Correct solution is to ignore it for the moment and not rise to it. Let them have their moment, then when the flags start looking a bit tatty or whatever start taking them down. Previous Message
long motorway journey today and can't help but notice the number of St. George's flags hanging off bridges. It seems a lot of people are under the impression that "they" have said you're not allowed to fly it because it offends people.
Thick, gullible fucks.
So, this happened. But it is what it is, until it isn't.
