Liverpool as a city is very much a weekend destination- if we can tap into that market we can make a decent sum doing so. I am the first to criticise the club but bottom line is we need to maximise money per seat- this does it. Or rather goes some way to doing it. Previous Message
For our neighbours and United. Now we are not them hence my reservation about whether the club has got the balance right day one but if not they can adjust moving forward. Liverpool is a top 5 tourist city in UK and the fastest growing. Time will tell but this is a market we absolutely have to target and grow. We may not like it but that isart of the reality of what is needed to compete better moving forward. Previous Message
Family over for a long weekend ‘Oh, let’s take in a game of scorer ball’
Obviously Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs are all booked out so they go to West Ham, Fulham. I’ve seen it firsthand
Can’t see many families wanting to rush up from London to gonna watch Everton v Bournemouth at 5.30 on a Saturday evening
And let’s face it, they’re more likely to want to visit the other shower up the road Previous Message
and football tourism market not core, regularly attending fans with this offer. They believe core fans are served by season tickets and members ballots. Time will tell if they have under-estimated core demand/over-estimated our pull for one-off ‘experience’ buyers but it these “rip off” seats that help drive the essential revenue growth in match-days. They are a necessary evil and wecshould actually be hoping they get sold out each game. Previous Message
