Now, maybe Palace will bid and maybe Spurs will but right now they haven’t. The Spurs link where Delaney claims an “approach” (basically journo code for asking about availability, price, deal conditions) got inflated by reposters into an “official approach” by and then that became a “bid” when others reposted that. FWIW Standard says he is a possibility for Spurs but not the preferred option and are yet to link him to Palace.
Time will tell as like us both clubs need to buy. Sooner or later someone who is not us will bid for Dibling if their primary options are exhausted. This is where you wind up with long drawn out sagas played out in public.
FWIW I am told by one of the usually reliable guys that despite Bobble’s suggestion we have had no fresh talks since walking away ten days ago. We are still interested, the bid is still on the table. It is notable none of Joyce, Boyland, Hunter, Ornstein (who are arguably the gold tier for us) has corroborated Bobble’s claim of fresh talks.
Our ‘Committee’ is meeting f2f this afternoon (you might think that would be 2-3 times daily, I did, it seems I was wrong)l Maybe things will emerge this evening/tomorrow be it Dibling or an alternative. Previous Message
