... we missed Garner playing in that deep lying role yesterday (as well as he did shoe-horned into that left back role). At least that would have given us some sort of stability and control in the middle of the park there.
Amongst the many additions we require, we DESPERATELY need a top quality central midfielder that can control the game. I can't recall the last time we had one of them.

Arguably our best player last season.
Can't remember a worse showing than what he put on last night. His default setting was to turn and pass backwards. Leeds where passing around our midfield with ease (LEEDS FFS!) and he was chasing shadows and looked relieved when half time came so he could catch a breath.
Hopefully he gets back up to speed over the next few weeks.
