From a personal, professional pov it's been an eventful and highly successful summer. Less so on the Everton front. Here it's mostly been same old same old. Which is nice, and good to know.

Before I go, I have to share you a little story from some time ago, which really made me chuckle, and filled me with extreme pride.

Like her mother, my eight years old granddaughter Naomi is a Blue. She was over the moon when she received an Everton kit from me as her birthday present. One evening me and my missis were babysitting for her, and started playing a game where everything we said was absolutely the opposite from what we meant. First it was silly little things, but it soon grew into longer sentences, where everything was upside down and inside out.

What made me and my wife burst was that at one point Naomi had a long thought before saying anything. We could see that she really had her brain occupied. Then she made a broad smile and quipped: "We are manufactured!"

Needless to say, playing the game had to end there. 😄
