I was told that our final offer was £4m pa (£77k pw) + bonuses on being in the 20, minutes played, goals that could if he was fit and firing all season, get him close to his previous deal. It seems likely that the Leeds deal is at best similar.

It looks like a significant humbling after a terrible last 12 months of misjudgements on his market demand and value that has seen him part with two agents. I hope it works out (not on Monday obviously) and his career does not just trickle away.

He's been asking for 150k+ pw by all accounts...
But has taken 80k pw at Leeds (I guess firing his agent means he doesnt need to pay him)

Clearly he just wanted out
Or was badly advised
Or knew he wasnt going to be Moyes first choice

I like DCL
I wish we'd kept him
But leaving us to explore new things and try and win things, to rock up at Leeds is hilarious.
