City may well say "we want a £5m loan fee"
But we would reject that and (so far) there are no teams willing to pay a £5m loan fee AND cover the wages. Even if someone in Saudi agreed to that deal, Grealish could veto it (and assuming he wants a World Cup sport presumably would)
City may well say "we'll wait to see if Spurs come in for him" but that assumes Spurs will pay Grealish what he wants AND carries the risk that they don't, in which case City have to pay £300pw on a player they're not going to use.
Seems to me that an agreement with Grealish forces City into having to make a decision now, and therefore this won't be one that runs for much longer. Which is good, because we need to speed things up!! Previous Message
and City apparently want it to cover a season's earnings @ roughly 300k/wk so circa £15m. Surely it's entirely up to them? In which case if we are trying to negotiate it down, they might well hold out for a better offer. Could see this one dragging on till deadline day.
I'm all in favour though, would be a massive morale-booster for the whole club. Crowd would absolutely love him. Previous Message
if this is going to happen it’s either the terrible news that Ndiaye is going or we’re going to have Grealish playing at 10 alongside KDB & Gueye, and witness total-Moyesball this season. Very much hoping for the latter
