Previous to last season, the difference between the amount refunded to the Season Ticket Holder (e.g. £35) and the price charged (e.g. £55) went directly to Everton In The Community - last season they (very quietly) changed that so that £20 would go to the club not EitC. They added a section to the resale platform where you could make a voluntary donation to EiTC when you bought the ticket...I suspect that EiTC got very little money that way!

Revenue wise we are therefore being generous with so many season tickets. Presumably to recognise the massive waiting list and reward existing loyalty.
Hence, if a season ticket holder can’t go they have to release their seat to the club who can charge a premium, as opposed to just passing it over to a friend/family. Previous Message

when you add the 3000 away fans plus comps the club will give out we're probably looking at less than 6000 match days sales per game
For me, the club should have capped season tickets at 30000
There should also have been a better process so season ticket holders who have bought corporate should not also have been able to buy their season tickets
