Still staggered that he got away with it.

....the actual reality of the situation was that Son was absolutely furious after the referee waved away what he thought should have been a free kick. The red mist came down and he absolutely chased down Gomes and recklessly and deliberately flew in and clipped Gomes, sending him flying into Serge Aurier, which is where the horrific injury happened.
I got sick of responding to people saying that "Son didn't cause it" when he absolutely 100% did - and as much as Gomes had the right to be furious with him, if I was Serge Aurier then I'd possibly feel even angrier about it, as he had to cope with unwittingly inflicting the injury on Gomes, and also bearing the brunt of all the blame being deflected from the angelic, tear-stained Son.
It was 100% Son's fault, and he should be absolutely vilified for it. Previous Message
I may be recalling things wrong, but the way I saw it at the time, Son put in a clumsy challenge (didn't cause the injury), which put Gomes off balance, and then it was another Spurs player (can't remember who) who actually did the damage with the challenge that immediately followed, and THAT was what knackered Gomes's ankle / leg?
If that's correct, then I've never really understood the abuse that Son gets from Evertonians.
As I say, maybe I'm recalling it wrong? Previous Message
i thought it was cynical - for some reasonevery thinks he seems a lovely bloke. Previous Message
I think his reaction was genuine. What pissed me off was the media reaction, painting him as the victim, but that's the media for you. Previous Message
Getting an awful lot of air time.
Fantastic footballer.
Know football is a contact sport.
Players do get injured.
Am aware nobody is an angel.
But that tackle on Gomes ….
