anything that stops that is a good thing in my book Previous Message
Where I live there’s a growing focus on mens well being, up in the head and the physical aspects of life.
It’s a big thing and I know several guys who goes to sessions with other men - strangers, men they don’t know in advance - to talk about … feelings. How they feel mentally and how their marriage is. Work. Relations. Kids.
Some places there’s a stick involved. Only the guy who holds it are allowed to talk. That way you know no one will talk over you, which makes others listen and you open up even more (that’s the philosophy anyways). There’s an expression: Do your male work.
I can’t f****** stand the thought of it. But maybe I’m just a dinosaur as I try to initiate these things in my normal conversations with friends. But I think there’s a possibility that I miss something here. Is this also a thing in the UK? Has anyone tried?
I think this place has more than football to it, but on the other hand people here a not going that deep.
