Was head and shoulders best player on the park when the Brits came to Landsdowne a few months ago. There's still a helluva player there. He'd immediately push us up a level.

Grealish is still only 29 and while a gamble he is a name bigger than any we have at present. get him close to his villa form and there is a player in there

Not a lot we don’t know but:

Dibling and his agency ROOF both keen on the move. If we want it enough we should be able to do the deal.

Kubo and Bakayoko were both high on the list but Kubo too hard a deal to do because of the cost and Bakayoko wasn’t interested.

We are still trying for Fofana but the player isn’t convinced (as we all know). Roc Nation sports (his agency) are in cahoots with Fab Romano and he has advertised his availability by leaking our interest.

Grealish is firmly wanted by us and we have spoke to him about a loan….approx £8-10 million total deal. Waiting on City now but they aren’t currently in no rush and waiting to see if there’s any other interest.

In relation to Luiz, we have backed off based on players preference to play in Europe. We initially asked for a loan with an option. Forest are furthest down the line to getting him. Kia Joorabchian is his agent (he is close to the Forest owner too) and he’s keen to tie him up with a club in Europe ASAP.

The Gibbs-White clause of £60m changed the landscape on the asking price for McAtee. City had him priced approx £25m but it has gone up based on the proposed Tottenham deal for Gibbs-White. That’s why nobody has a deal in place for McAtee currently. Remains to be seen if City back down on what they want for him.
