...the first film is my joint top comedy film (alongside Life of Brian and Withnail and I) - I absolutely love it.
Not one syllable of dialogue is wasted and it's a cringingly accurate depiction of the heavy metal world (as I would imagine are Chris Guest's other "mockumentary" films Best In Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, etc.)
I'm very wary of the sequel ruining their legacy, but I'm such a fan of them and their writing that I can't imagine that they would be releasing it if it wasn't up to their usual standards.... fingers crossed! Previous Message
trailer for the new one and the original actors look older than me and Methusalah (GARY). The trailer didn't really reveal much but it looks like a young impresario arsehole is trying to re-form them for a tour. I'll watch it just for old times sake.
