Is there a perception problem with Moyes?

I know most of us blues know what you get with him; he'll polish turds so well they will reflect sunlight, he'll eek out the maximum from what is at his disposal, he'll come up with some tactics just when you think your injury-ravaged team is done for, he's clearly a very good coach as evidenced many times over the years where he's improved teams (not least us post-Dyche), and of course had us playing some lovely football in the Magnificent 7th years. But....is it possible some of the better and experienced players are less likely to want to play for him because they see him as less, I don't know, I hate the word, "progressive" than the stereotypical European coach?

- I have been thinking the same. We won’t know for sure, but you have a point. Nt - Martin F July 30, 2025, 7:31 pm
