This seems pretty normal in a football forum, a place of opinions, and yes many do think they are experts (some of us even made a career out of the fact that Football Fans Think They Know Best :D)
Are the actual wound-up people perhaps those who for some reason can't accept differing opinions...?

Maybe the hope has been beaten out of me over recent years & inexcusable additions like FatWaiter, but I can’t think of anything that’s surprised me since Ancellotti?
I reckon the last eyebrow raiser player signing was Kanchelskis?*
Admittedly, maybe I need to resubscribe to Shoot because I’ve never heard of half the players people seem to be excited about when we get linked.
Personally I’m now in the zone where it-is-what-it-is whether we sign players or not, so it’s all upside for me😎
* in hindsight Rodriguez, but I didn’t know much about him on arrival.
