There IS a food chain and until we get European football (ideally CL) we won't be attractive enough to established or in demand players. We will ikelu have to build the Brighton/Bournemouth way with young players (eg Aznou, O'Brien, Alcaraz) for the time being, although that begs the question how we can ever hope to crack the CL to attract the established players. It all feels a bit Catch 22 at the moment.
