Whilst they clearly understand the urgency and holes in the squad (per Moyes regular comments), I think they also don't want to fill spots for the sake of it, recognising this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to set the squad up for several years.
I think they're still going for their 'Tier 1' targets at the moment. I guess it's a question of how long you keep pushing for the optimistic ones then lower your sights. Previous Message
It's got to be worrying when Moyes(normally the most reticent about talking about transfers( is stating we need 5 or 6 and he would have liked them in by now.
Who can forget "go with what we've got".
I also think we will be doing a supermarket sweep late August.
Unfortunately this all ponts to another slow/poor start.
Personally although not a popular opinion I would Lower the level and aim for the likes of felliws, drakes the lad from Boro.
Might not be the bright new dawn everyone expected but improves the squad and gets us up the league.
This exactly what city did with players and managers.
Let's see what happens over the coming days but can't see either Luiz or fofana rocking up. Previous Message
But I'm still a bit worried that the bulk of our movement will be deadline day when there's deals to be done on a host of unwanted players from the big clubs. Previous Message

Or words to that effect. Even 5-6 will be tough and I agree with what Jon posted below, the loans will be used late on too, possibly most or all slots. Previous Message
‘We’re all aware of that. I wish we could’ve had them earlier because it would’ve helped us.’
He knows. Hopefully the next couple of weeks get us what we need. ‘Eight or nine’, as the man says.
