With the way PSR/SCR work domestically and in Europe is to get extremely lucky building a team on the relative cheap that wins trophies and qualifies for CL in its first year together so you can hold onto enough of them to get a year two when you need to win it. Right now there are bigger and better clubs.
Maybe if Newcastle win a load of trophies in the next ten years, the next generation will view them differently. But right now why wouldn’t a player want to leave for Liverpool? Previous Message
If the richest club can't hold on to their player due to an inability to move up a gear and build around them, what's the point ?
Summed up currently by Sky interviewing some Geordie fans ...who advise " he's been great for the club and maybe it's time we made a profit and move on."
