As mentioned in my previous post expectations are lifted and most were hoping that this new everton had broken that cycle.
Our starts to the season are generally poor I can only recall one exceptional one under Moyes ..the one we finished 4th.
I believe it's imperative that we start well this season to carry the feelgood factor of end of season /new stadium. This would also stop any "Everton that" winless run at HD heaping pressure on the team.
But as you say we can't affect it so shouldn't really worry... Previous Message
There have maybe been one, maybe two pre-seasons within the last 25 years in which Everton have done the majority of their significant transfer activity before pre-season training begins (or just after). In other words, any Moyes pre-season training (or any other manager's pre-season training for that matter), has rarely applied to the full squad that actually starts the season.
As ever, I'd imagine that we'll be feverishly tying to bring players in right up to the wire, for one reason or another.
C'est la vie. Previous Message
my concern is that whoever signs now wont have had the full David Moyes pre season experience and therefore they won't be considered to start games for at least a few matches. Moyes and Dyche are very much cut from the same cloth in this regard. Moyes Fit = Dyche Fit.

then flown out to join the squad.
There appears to be an air of panic within the fan base that we aren't going to address the squad balance.
I put it down to the digital age and instant news at peoples fingertips. We want signings and we want them now and I want to know first, before the Club! Previous Message
I presume the starting XI for the Leeds game, and a few after that will be made up of the current squad.
Who starts at RW? McNeil?
