I was starting to get too silly about it a few weeks back so I've dialled down the weigh ins and I'm concentrating on other things. I started resistance training a month ago and I'm really enjoying it, I know that will add small amounts of muscle as I go on. It will also cause water retention because I'm stressing and tearing muscle, which will add weight.
I've also started to take creatine which adds 1kg of weight ish. I've upped protein to about 1..2g per KG of weight, which has changed my eating habits a bit. I now measure myself in 2 or 3 areas (fnar fnar) and record that weekly. Finally, I'm measuring the increase in VO2 as I get fitter.
Well, me being me, I've come up with a future predictive model that takes into account everything about me, what I eat, how much I exercise etc. Also it takes into account metabolic adaptation and what effect resistance training and protein will have on reducing that. I use ChatGPT, which has been a pain due to the lack of being able to utilise info established in other chats (lack of persistent data) but has still been a fun exercise. Basic info is weight, age, height etc but also max 3000 calories a day in, 13000 steps per day on average, 3 x weights to failure (16-20 sets x 3) a week (it knows my routine, in fact it suggested it) and swimming 1k twice a week. I'm very consistent with this so far.
I've added in some maintenance weeks when im on holiday and for Christmas. It's all calculated off my real weight loss but with added AI interpretation of real TDEE as opposed to me Apple Watch, which I've found out comically over-estimated calories burned for certain exercises. The AI has also gradually lowered my loss as I get smaller but importantly tried to predict changes to metabolic adaptation.
Anyway, this is it. Predicted to reach my target weight - 17 stone - in Feb 26. We will see! Yes I am a nerd.

Last check in for me, before I head across the pond on Wednesday. 3 weeks of pies, bacon, sausage rolls and lager await.
It was a struggle to maintain 265 lbs - 120Kg - been there for pretty much 5 weeks. That said, I'm down 20lbs this year, and if I can maintain, then do the same again in the next 6 months, I'll take that!
I might follow Big Lab's lead and try a GLP1
