That's fine when the "idiots" that you refer to are in a tiny minority...I suspect most people's concerns arise from their apparent growth in numbers, with their "idiotic" views seemingly both emboldened and encouraged by their government.
I'm no expert on it, but if your opinion is that you're genuinely fine with the direction that America (and other countries) are heading in then... well, it's an opinion that I don't share, that's for sure. Previous Message
up videos or articles about a bunch of idiots being shown up for what they are and using it as proof of what America is like. I could go on Youtube right now a find videos of the likes of Tommy Morrison supposedly burying someone with his views, but I could also find another video of him being struck dumb by someone who hates him. Neither video is typical of England or its people. Previous Message
As with most countries I suspect that there are good parts and good people, and bad parts and bad people, and obviously your opinion holds slightly more weight that than those of us that have never lived there, however, I would say that your own impression of it is still very specific to you, and it doesn't tally at all with the opinions of some of my friends and family who have either lived there for a long time, or who have lived their all their lives. They are utterly despondent at the direction the country is going in as a whole, not just in their neigbourhood/county/state, and it's very clearly because of the people in government and the kind of thinking and actions that their way of governing is inspiring in people. It's also one of the main reasons that I'm not actually on my way to America this week to watch the EFC games - that's not an assumption, that's reality. Previous Message
it's some lunatic fringe group being set up by another lunatic fringe group. If you assume you know America enough to think they are an integal part of the country then you are as thick as them. I'm sick of these constant links that purport to show what America is like. If I had the mind to I could flood this forum every day with examples of what America is really like and that is close to being better than most other countries and that includes England.
