I don't think the US trip will effect our recruitment efforts. In fact i expect us to make some signings during the trip. But what it does do is set's back when any players signed after we leave for America. I wouldn't expect any signings made after we head to states to start any games before the end of September. Unless we spent proper money on them.

...then we'd miss the Bournemouth game on Saturday night
They will be heading to America later this week, then back for the Roma friendly on August 9th (in 19 days time) and our first game of the season against Leeds 4 weeks from today.
The America trip won't affect our recruitment efforts and it's a team effort so there won't be any "dithering" just the usual complexities of recruiting players that will improve us against a complicated background of finances and regulations.
I'm sure the squad will be as strong as they could possibly make it in the circumstances by September 2nd Previous Message
and you're on here defending him like you've been to a Coldplay concert with him.
Fact is we've got gaps in the squad that desperately need filling. When do we head to the states? next week?
As soon we start filling those blanks peoples concerns will dissipate.
But Moyes didn't get the Dithering Davie moniker from our lot and West hams fans for no reason. I'm not suggesting he's Dithering now, i'm just saying he was called Dithering Davie for a reason.

That may be so, but it's a different owner now and I suspect they will not have the same patience as the last lot.
They have invested heavily and are in the results business..... I doubt if they will be happy to stagnate much past the end of this year. I think the signings will arrive and the Manager told to get on with it. Previous Message
Late acquisitions and slow start to season because team didn't have time to gel. Previous Message
I think the best (sanest!) way for Everton fans to proceed for now, is to just trust in the process and the new recruitment team (and the systems we've bought to assist them) and wait until any new signings are officially announced.
Everybody knows the number of players that are out of contract this summer and that we have new owners, taking us into a shiny new stadium, which all combines to make us even more ripe than usual for speculation and the spreading of false rumours for clickbait.
I fully accept that it's not easy to be patient, but I can confirm that it is a far less stressful route to take! Previous Message

I hope this bodes well for our new American overlords’ approach to filtering and acquiring talent.
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.
