Yesterday at the Bregenzer Festspiele there was the world premiere of my new monodrama Farmer George , followed seamlessly by Eight Songs for a Mad King by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. It was a fantastic success, full house, and an immediate standing ovation.
I’m still a bit shaken. Moments like those that I experienced yesterday make me feel that writing such strange music isn’t always as bad idea as it usually seems. 😀
