My bad luck (UK passport issued in Dublin, full of US visas - I worked for IBM at the time) was that it was around the Warrington bombing (I was born there) and then the next time was the Wimslow train station bomb.
Held by Special Branch the first time and then armed police the second time straight off the flight from Dublin as I walked into arrivals. When I woke up the following morning at 6am and put the news on and saw the report about the bomb etc I wasn’t expecting to be going home that evening!

Flew out in early June and it was a doddle. Streets ahead of the experience I had in Manchester airport a few months before that - nearly missed the flight because of the crawl through security even though I was there 2 and a half hours before the flight was due to depart! Previous Message
Has anybody flew out of JLA in the afternoon recently?
Just got a message off Ryan air saying not enough staff and to get there 3 hrs hrly.
I was hoping by late afternoon this would have subsided significantly.
Thanks
