It would’ve been unthinkable to me 15-20 years ago (I’d watch Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Scottish, all English divisions, Champs League, Europa etc). These days I watch Everton and that’s pretty much it. I barely watch any other EPL games at all.

Part of that is age and stage (kids, career etc) but I still find time for cricket, tennis, some golf, hockey…and an absolute ton of football (college and NFL). The PL has just become a monotonous cycle of the same moneyed teams at the top, aided by a governing body that’s quite happy to find the time to deduct points from the likes of us / Forest but still haven’t dealt with City.

I’ll always watch Everton (as Chris says, that’s not even about soccer, it’s just ‘something else’) but that’s about it. I play three to four matches a week, so I’ve not fallen out of love with the game, just the circus.
