Not sure if this is an ‘expectation’ or more of a hoped progression but:

Season one: establish solid core of squad under multiple year contracts (18-20 players), midtable, no alarms, maybe a cup run

Season two: build on core squad to 20-23, push for Europe in league, threaten a trophy

Season three: add 1-2 difference makers, minimum European qualification, ideally with a trophy
