Before Dauphine everybody said it was impossible for him to beat Pogacar in a one week race. It turned out they were right, but still they use that race as an argument for Pogacar winning a three week race with two time trials. When properly prepared JV has beaten him convincingly in 22 and 23. It’s way too early to write him off.
