I've got really lucky that we moved house during Covid and thankfully my work reopened after. Now it's a ten minute bus ride for 60p, then a three quid taxi home. Not driving, not having to maintain a car and the speed door-to-door is such a good improvement in my work/life balance as well as financial.

these days can’t think many people regularly do even that.
Guess questions are how much do you want the job, how many days a week would you have to do that and what would you do with those 4 hours you’d spend commuting? If you’ve a hobby or interest that could fill the hours then it might work, but not something to be committed to lightly. Previous Message
I am currently looking for work and am basing my choice of job on the basis of a two hour commute, to and from, work each day using public transport.
Do others feel this is acceptable?
