I'd expect they will err on the side of caution, respect & good taste, and quite rightly. Previous Message
... and it was one of our better players who'd been killed in an accident, how would you (and we on here?) feel if Liverpool announced an important signing within a couple of days of said tragedy? Not criticising you, just asking. I think I'd be far from happy if they were to do that. The situation might be different if we weren't so closely linked geographically and demographically, but I'd imagine that if any announcement is delayed it'll be delayed out of respect to a truly tragic situation.

if this is your personal opinion, fair enough. But if the club are waiting on our neighbours to calm down before announcing our signing, its wrong in my opinion. Transfers happen, today is another day and while it was a horrible loss to the Jota family, life goes on and Everton certainly should not put anything on pause in this case.
'IF' we have signed Barry, then announce it now and start as we mean to go forward. Its a business, we have paid our respects and we need to get about our own work.
The message needs to be that Everton are signing players and looking to the future.
