… in a country like the UK whose economy is so heavily dominated by services, vast swathes of society are going to be essentially redundant. The answer is usually that society always adapts to technological change and that jobs will essentially evolve with technology. But i can’t see how that works this time when the purpose of the technology is to replicate and replace humans.
