Israel as a state is committing war crimes, this is now beyond doubt, and labelling those that point this out as antisemitic is a disgusting deflection tactic. Criticism does not equate to condoning what their enemies have done. It's important to remember the power dynamic here though - Israel is the nuclear state who is pretty much unconditionally backed to the hilt by the US government - any and all of them. Palestinians have been forcibly removed from their homes and subjected to regular bombing raids, deliberate starvation, cutting off their water, power and medical supplies. And that's before you get onto the reports of children being shot between the eyes and the use of AI to ensure that Israeli targets are at home with their families before bombs are dropped on them and all the rest of it.
If tempting starving innocents out into the open with food supplies then shooting them isn't evil, I'm not sure what is. Previous Message
showing their pro Palestian support shouldn't be lost on people
I saw Bobby Vylan in 2021 supporting Biffy Clyro, it was cringe worthy stuff even then
He was chanting death to the queen, saying he hopes she dies a painful death
I don't go to a concert to be preached to
These no marks try and attach themselves to whatever is popular at the time to try and make themselves newsworthy

not my kind of music so haven't heard the sets but it seems the most contentious thing has been encouraging chants of "death to the IDF". Strong stuff, yes, and not something I would have joined in with personally - once you start going down the road of saying calls to violence are justified in one particular case you are on a slippery slope.
But I think the idea was to increase publicity and scrutiny of what the IDF are actually up to Gaza, and in that sense it has worked.
The usual suspects are of course popping up to call it antisemitism, the definition of which seems to have changed from "hatred of Jews" to "anything critical of the Israeli state". I wish they'd stop with this disingenuous bullshit.
Keir Starmer saying it was "not appropriate" for Kneecap to perform probably boosted their popularity no end. Extra cool points there.
So, this happened. But it is what it is, until it isn't.
