…I saw NY for the first time at MSG NYC in Oct ‘87 and it was amazing with the Horse. I didn’t own an album of his at the time.

Given my 70’s and 80’s music (Bowie, Dylan, Reed, Beatles, Talking Heads, Queen) I only got into NY in when I bought ‘This Notes For You’ in ‘88 on the strength of a Rolling Stone review ( which is how I got into XTC(Skylarking) and John Hiatt (Bring The Family).

‘This Note..’ is still a favourite as are Ragged Glory, Sleeps With Angels, and Rust. He played in Dublin last weekend but it was in Malahide Castle which is an abomination of a concert venue (IMHO) and ironically Young was my last gig there and I swore off ever going there again.

Anyways, great viewing tonight and although I’m listening to the seven new Springsteen albums (!) I’ll deffo pull some NY out of the record library tomorrow!
