this part of the world. I became a fan in 1978 when they showed the video of ‘Rosalita’ live (from Phoenix).
Bruce was a visible moral conscience for me as I grew up. No one wins unless everyone wins, albeit highly aspirational, gave me a direction. I’ve met him, had the picture taken and a lovely story from that. I’ve been to his house in Colts Neck he didn’t know I was there ) was at his family homes in Freehold and took a picture at the big tree.
He lost his ‘infallibility’ for me with the ticket bull shit in ‘23. Fans for decades couldn’t afford to go to the shows. Even the Broadway tickets (and I went, from Ireland) in retrospect stuck in my throat. This was not no one wins unless everyone wins.
I’m 52 shows in but decided against going after ‘23. I’m sure he misses me and my silent protest .
However, the music remains as it is, the soundtrack to my life, and my four kids lives and between Bruce and Everton we have memories that can’t be taken away.
When I see the word Copenhagen I remember that clip of him joining in with the busker there. THAT is the Bruce I will never forget

I used to be a massive fan, until Springsteen was hijacked by every danish labour politician. Not his fault, but I lost myself in that massive crowd. I thought it was just me and Bruce and our spécial relation. Then all of a sudden everybody was his close friend. And some of them were idiots. Previous Message
Here’s the article

…most of that other material has Bruce fans completely gobsmacked. We’d heard rumours about a rockabilly record, a gospel record etc etc.
The quality of what we’ve heard so far is just amazing and to think he sat on these albums for up to 40+ years ago.
It reconfirms Springsteen as one of the all time great artists.
At 62 (as previously mentioned ) to be able to have this intense excitement in a world gone bad is a great feeling! Previous Message
There’s a write-up in the Times today with some glowingly reviewed. Previous Message
I’m 62, I’m just not able to take a male politician, in the 2nd seat in America, seriously if he’s starting to wear make up too. Ffs where is this going to end with the ridiculousness of these clowns.
I just think it’s indicative of the vanity of the individuals here. One senior citizen, nearly 80, dyes his face orange and his hair blond while the other puts on eye liner. Do you know (tbf, I don’t) how much time they must spend looking at themselves in front of a mirror? ‘Kin hell the worlds burning but gotta get that kohl pencil out first :D.
If these gobshites were chocolate they’d eat themselves. Previous Message
What’s wrong in wearing eyeliner? Genuine question. 😐 Previous Message
