Then of course you had the hostage crisis followed by the US-backed Iraqi invasion. In the days where Saddam Hussein was lauded as a strong and righteous leader whose torture and mass murder could be brushed under the carpet until his objectives no longer aligned with those representing the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Israel seem to want all-out war with the Arab world. Trump isn't going to lift a finger to stop it, more likely he actively supports it whilst pretending otherwise. I despise the man with every fibre of my being but truth is that none of his predecessors would have done any different.
