Went to a Class of 84 dinner the week after the last game. Decided to take 15 copies of Talking Blue with me to give to the players as most of them were in it.

When I got home, I read it to see what they would see.

It’s superb, and has really stood the test of time - I’m as proud now as I was then … it’s especially poignant now as some of them have died.

The Wives is my absolute favourite though.
