I understand playing hard with DCL and Keane given how little they've played and how little they have added of recent times but with Doucoure gone as well (like him or not, he was a regular starter) we just can't afford to not tie down Gueye.
There might even be an opportunity to sell him on to Saudi or similar at the end of the first year but for me it would be reckless to push for 1 year extension if he wants 2.
This is assuming everything we read is true and accurate of course.
